Top 10 Widgets for Windows 7




1. All CPU Meter
It monitors your memory usage as well as CPUs, and it packs a lot of information into a small space. I also like that you can change the background color to match your preferences.

2. Clipboard Manager
You can save up to 999 clips and you can delete any clip or send it to the Clipboard or to your Favorites list with a right click. The Clipboard Manager supports images as well as text. It even has a privacy mode, which prevents clips from being displayed on the main gadget so that passers-by who glance at your desktop canít see what youíve saved to the clipboard.

3. Facebook Explorer
Facebook on your desktop what could be better? This nifty little widget will allow you to navigate through your Facebook profile with ease. The size of the actual window can be adjusted to 3 different sizes. Some of the features are it gives you a compact view of your own status and information, friendsí activities, and you can update your status right from the widget.

4. Ultimate Explorer
Ultimate Explorer lets you search popular sites from your desktop. Itís a compact little gadget some examples of the sites it can search are: Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, eBay, Amazon, Digg, and many more. You can select up to eight search sites for ìsnap search".

5. App Launcher
Not really much to say here. It replaces the quick launch tool bar and can be seen in the picture below.

6. MiniTV
This is a very handy widget. It can fit in the corner in a small preview like in the image below or opened to full screen. It offers some of the main channels along with some I have not heard of. Very handy to have playing in the background when working on something and trying to catch up on news etc..

7. Magic Folder
This can very useful for people whose desktop could use a little bit of cleaning up and help them get more organized.

8. Vista Shutdown Control
I love this because I always like locking my computer when I leave it and it is so simple just to click the lock button which is located in the bottom right of my desktop.

9. Auto Translator
I enjoy seeing what things are in other languages. I help a lot of people on Teamviewer over Hack Forums and having this on my desktop has been a life saver. Be able to type something in and quickly getting the translation I need is awesome!

10. Open/Close DVD
This can be handy. It does exactly what the name states nothing more.
